Support Questions:What is the difference between server postback and image conversion pixel tracking

From HasOffers

Server response tracking using postback URLs is for cookie less-tracking. It is for advertisers that run a server script that tells your HasOffers network that a conversion was generated for an offer. The recommend server tracking method is Server Post with Transaction ID.

With Server Postback with Transaction ID, affiliates can pass in sub ids into tracking links. This information is stored along with the affiliate id and offer id, and connected to a transaction id. The transaction id is passed to the advertiser in the offer url. When the advertiser passes the transaction back via a server call to the server response tracking url, it turns the click transaction into a lead transaction. Sub id information will be available in the Conversion Report since it’s tied to the transaction id.

Image pixels and iframe pixels both require cookies to be used. This is client-side tracking. With image and iframe pixel tracking, you can pass in sub id and tracking info into affiliate links. This information is also stored with the click information. When the image or iframe pixel is fired it generates a lead. Sub id and tracking info are available in the Conversion Report.
