You can setup an offer to start tracking on an impression. When users view a creative and the impression pixel is displayed, tracking cookies will be set on the users computer. By default offers start session tracking on a click basis. You can update the offer tracking setting and set session tracking to start on impression. If the tracking setting is set to start session on impression, then users only need to be shown the impression pixel (don't need to click on a tracking link) and when they make it to the page with the conversion pixel a conversion will be recorded. This is commonly known as tracking View Though Conversions.
Set the offer to start tracking on impression by editing the "Tracking" section of the offer details page and select "Start Session on Impressions". You can grab the impression pixel from the "Generate Tracking" section, by simply clicking the check box for Impression Pixel. The impression pixel will be generated for you.
Place the impression pixel on the page where the tracking link is located. This will track the number of times the tracking link is seen. When a user then clicks on a tracking link, this action is tracked as a click. Offer ID and Affiliate ID must be included in an impression pixel. Additional variables like source and aff_sub can also be appended to the impression pixel.
