Contents

Name

Start by giving the Campaign a name and selecting the type of campaign. Campaigns can be set to text or banner, depending on how you or your affiliates plan to display them.

Type

Select the type of the campaign to create. There are three different types of campaigns and based on the selection only specific creatives can be added.

  • Banner - Banner campaigns allow you to add creative files like images flash, flash banners and HTML ads.
  • Text - Tex campaigns allow you to only add text creatives. These campaigns will display text links using JavaScript.
  • Link - Link campaigns allow you to add offer URLs so that you can optimize links for affiliates.

Width/Height

Used for banner campaigns only. Choose the pixel width and height to determine the size of the campaign when displayed.

Status

Setting a campaign to Active will make it immediately available for traffic. Pausing the campaign simply stops the campaign from being viewed by users, and deleted removes the campaign from Manage Campaign list.

Custom Weights

Enabling custom weights, allow you to set a value percentage that campaign creatives will be displayed for a specific campaign. Creatives will then be displayed based on the weight set. If the sum total of the custom weight is below 100%, the creatives with a custom weight will only display the given percentage. Any unallocated percentage will use the optimization setting for the campaign. If the sum total of the custom weights are over 100%, the other creatives will not be displayed. If a creative cannot be found for the given optimization, a random creative will be displayed.

Campaign Optimization

By enabling optimization, the Ad Manager will help you determine the most successful creatives and urls in a particular campaign based the criteria you choose. Disabling the optimization features causes the campaign creatives and offer urls to display at random. Optimization will be updated nightly. Creatives or offer URLs must have more than 10 clicks and 2 conversions to gain priority in the optimization algorithms. There are five optimization options:

  • Click Through Rate (CTR) - Determines optimization based on CTR and gives priority to creatives / offer URLs with the highest CTR. Primarily for banner and text campaigns.
  • Conversion Rate (CR) - Determines optimization based on CR and gives priority to creatives / offer URLs with the highest CR. Primarily for banner, link, and text campaigns.
  • Revenue per Thousand Impressions (RPM) - Determines optimization based on RPM and gives priority to creatives / offer URLs with the highest RPM. Best to maximize network's earnings based on impressions displayed by affiliate for banner campaigns.
  • Revenue per click (RPC) - Determines optimization based on RPC and gives priority to creatives / offer URLs with the highest RPC. Best to maximize network's earnings based on clicks generate by affiliate for link campaigns.
  • Profit - Determines optimization based on overall profit and gives priority to creatives / offer URLs with the highest profit.

Affiliate Access to Campaigns

Enabling the Affiliate Access setting will give affiliates immediate access to a campaign, unless the campaign status is set to Paused. Affiliates can start promoting this campaign simply copying the Ad Tag Code on the Campaign page.
