These affiliate settings control how your network handles affiliate management functions.

Affiliate Sign Up

Affiliate account status will be based on this setting. Chose whether you want an automated signup process or more manual process. The recommended setting is Phone Verification as this will help streamline the process while ensuring quality signups. To help prevent fraud implement Affiliate Profile Fraud with Fraud Score and identify potentially bad applications.

Auto Approve

Auto approval sets affiliate account to active immediately. Users auto approved get logged into your network after submitting application and notifies employees. Enhance this process by setting the Auto Approve Threshold and Auto Block Thresholds with Affiliate Profile Fraud. Based on the settings, applications will be automatically approved if below the auto approve threshold, blocked it above the auto block threshold, else set to pending for manual review by an employee.

Require Approval

Require approval sets new affiliate accounts to pending and will need to be approved by your network. When approved, affiliates will be notified and receive a welcome email.

Phone Verification

Phone verification requires user to verify their account by receiving a phone call and entering a PIN. Phone numbers must be entered in an international formatting starting with the country code prefix. Users that verify their account via phone will be automatically approved.

Use the Affiliate Profile Fraud features of Auto Approve Threshold and Auto Block Threshold as discussed with the auto approve setting to increase signup quality. If Affiliate Profile Fraud is enabled and the application has a score above the auto approve threshold, the user will need to complete phone verification to get their account automatically active. If Affiliate Profile Fraud is enabled and the application has a score below the auto approve threshold, the phone verification will be skipped as the application already meets affiliate profile fraud auto approve requirements.

Signup Disabled

If disabled, affiliates will not be able to sign up to your network, however, employees will still be able to create affiliate accounts in their admin interface.

CAPTCHA on Sign Up

Require users to complete CAPTCHA on sign up. If users don't complete CAPTCHA successfully, then their application won't be submitted. The prevents scripts or bots from creating accounts. However, the additional step can make it more difficult to signup.

You will need to signup with reCAPTCHA to obtain the required public and private key: http://www.google.com/recaptcha/whyrecaptcha

Once you signup with reCAPTCHA, Google will give you a public and private key that you will need to insert into your network settings.

Affiliate Sign Up with Manager

Provide affiliate managers with links to sign up accounts under their management. These links include the employee's ID so that when the affiliate sign up, the affiliate account will be under the employee's management. If set to Auto Approve, affiliates that sign up will be automatically approved with their account manager set based on the employee ID in the link. If set to Require Approval, affiliates that sign up will have their account manager set but their account will remain pending until approved. Require approval thus will notify other managers that the account is not theirs and allow the employee to review the account before approval. Disabled doesn't provide affiliate sign up links to affiliate account managers. Account manager links are displayed in the admin interface on the bottom of the Snapshot page.

Manage Pending Accounts

Enable affiliate managers to see pending accounts and assign themselves as an account manager. If disabled only employees with global permission can see pending accounts and approve them.

Auto-Assign Affiliate Managers

In the case where affiliate sign up is set to auto approve, you may assign auto-approved affiliates to a random affiliate manager. If enabled, choose one or more affiliate managers that you wish to be included in the random auto-assignment for auto-approved affiliates. It affiliate sign up is set to auto approve and this feature disabled, newly approved affiliates that are now active won't have an account manager.

Third-Party Affiliate Pixels

Set the status of new third-party pixels added by affiliates. This setting only manages how affiliate pixels / postback URLs that are input by affiliates in their interface. Auto Approve sets new affiliate pixels or postback URLs to active. Require approval sets new affiliate pixels or postback URLs to pending and employees will have to approve them. Disabled doesn't allow affiliates to place third-party pixels or postback URLs on offers (all placement of affiliate pixels and postback URLs will have to be completed by employees).

Affiliate User Management

Enable affiliates to create and manage their own users and grant their users specific access to their account.

Affiliate Managers

Enable employees to manage only specific affiliate accounts and only have access to them. Once enabled you can manage set account managers to affiliate accounts.

Stats and Offers API

Enable affiliates to interact with the Stats and Offers API and determines if they need prior approval. The stats API for affiliates gives them access to the same data available in the reports in their interface. If set to Auto Approval affiliates will be able to immediate make API calls. If set to Require Approval affiliates API requests will have to be approved by employees. Pending affiliates API requests can be approved from the API page (hover over Support tab and click API). If set to Disabled, affiliates won't have access to the affiliates Stats and Offers API.

Conversion Access

Specify which conversions affiliates have access to view in the Conversion Report. By default affiliates only have access to approved conversions. Only approved conversions are included in statistics. Pending and rejected conversions only appear in the conversion report. Use Conversion Access to enable affiliates to only see Approved conversions, Approved / Pending conversions or Approved / Pending / Rejected conversions.


Affiliate Ad Manager

Allow affiliates to create and manage their own ad campaigns using offers from your network.

Creative File Size Limit KB

Limit the file size of creatives affiliates may upload. Maximum is 131072. Set value to 0 for unlimited.

Affiliate Referral Commission

Enable Affiliate Referrals to allow affiliates to refer others to join your network and earn commission. If enabled you will be able to set the default affilaite referral commission.

Specify the default affiliate referral commission structure. Incentivize affiliates by paying them a flat dollar amount per sign up or incentivize them with a percentage of payout, revenue or profit generated by the referrals.

  • Rate Type - Determines if affiliate will receive commission on flat amount per referral sign up or percent of amount generated by referred affiliate.
  • Base Field - If rate type is percentage, then the amount that commission will be calculated on.
  • Rate - Number of rate to calculated commission. Should be integers for both flat and percentage.

Custom Affiliate Referral Link

Allow affiliates to use a a custom sign up URL instead of the HasOffers default sign up URL for your network. Use this option if you are hosting the sign up form remotely using the API. Then in the affiliate's interface, the custom affilaite referral link will be displayed instead. Add {affiliate_id} in the custom affiliate referral URL to dynamically include the affiliate ID in the custom referral link.

Affiliate Billing

Feature to create and manage affiliate payments including automatically generating invoices and mass payment options. If enabled you will be able to set the default affiliate billing preferences.

Require W9 / W-8BEN

Reminds customers to provide you with a W9 or W-8BEN if they have received a payment. If enabled affiliates will have an alert in their interface until you receive their paperwork and update their account as received.

Custom w9 Link Locations

By choosing where to host your W9 form, you can utilize your own W9 submission processes or simply send affiliates to a form that you choose host. Many networks have their own processes online for submitting W9’s, and customizing the W9 location allows them to use these processes. Select enable on this setting under company tab->customize application->affiliate settings; and place your URL in the box provided.

Generate Invoices by Advertiser

When this is disable, billing will generate invoices based on each currency used (if your using multiple currencies). Enabled, will allow invoices to be generated for each advertiser and each currency used by that advertiser.

Auto Generate Invoices

Check this box if you want to generate affiliate invoices automatically. If enabled, invoices will be automatically generated based on affiliate billing preferences. If disabled, you can manually generate invoices from the billing section.

Minimum Invoice Payments

This will prevent automatically generated invoices from being created for affiliates who have not earned at least this dollar amount.

Enabled Payment Types

This allows you to enable or disable payment types. Check what you want to be enabled.

Default Payment Type

Select a default payment type for all new affiliates that sign up. Default payment type can not be a disabled payment type.
