Affiliate Activity Fraud
You can customize your own fraud settings to monitor affiliate activity. Give weight to the fraud criteria your network finds most important. Fraud Score Plus is a tool that can be used to monitor and detect fraudulent affiliate activity. It allows the network to set thresholds and rate each criteria for monitoring affiliates activity in real time. The Fraud Score plus system allows you to weigh criteria such as the EPC exceeding set thresholds, maximum daily conversions reached, duplicate IP addresses, and more. Included with the Fraud score plus you will receive charts, customized criteria preference settings, threshold percentage ratios, alerts and reports. You can customize your Fraud Score Plus settings by hovering over the “Company” tab, selecting “Customize Application”, and clicking “Affiliate Activity Fraud”.
Activity Fraud Distribution Chart
The Activity Fraud Distribution Chart displays the percentage of activity fraud for your collective affiliates based on the customized criteria and threshold settings you’ve selected. Each affiliate will be given a fraud score (a probability of activity fraud percentage) based on your customized criteria. Once you’ve customized your profile fraud settings, the activity fraud distribution is displayed in a pie chart, which represent the part each criteria plays in calculating fraud. Hover over each piece of the pie to see the exact percentage. You can preview the profile fraud distribution chart by hovering over the “Company” tab, selecting “Customize Application”, and clicking “Affiliate Activity Fraud”.
Setup Activity Fraud Criteria and Thresholds
Give weight to the fraud criteria your network finds most important by rating each criteria and customizing the threshold. Fraud criteria are the categories of fraud detection that are set to track affiliate activity that is collected. Fraud Criteria is broken down into 5 different fraud detection categories. Each category can be set by selecting, “edit” next to Fraud Criteria. You can rate each category on a scale of probability from 0 to 10, 0 being the lowest level of importance and 10 being the highest, before choosing to have the affiliate activity flagged. For urgent attention you can set an Immediate Flag. The Flag represents that the fraud probability is 100%; you will be notified immediately when this has been reached. Our fraud system weighs your ratings, giving each criteria a percentage. For example, if you select 10 for EPC Exceeds Threshold and 0 for the rest, 100% of your fraud monitoring would be based on this category alone and once an affiliate reaches the threshold, their probability of fraud will be 100%.Under each criteria you will need to enter a Threshold. The threshold is the percentage at which the fraud criteria will be included in the affiliate’s fraud score. For example, if your affiliates do on average 100 conversions per day for Offer X, and you set your threshold to 25% difference from the offer average, the criteria will be included in an affiliate’s fraud score only if they reach 125 conversions in a day. Affiliate activity fraud is computed from activity in the last 30 days.
