Like any real Web 2.0 application, HasOffers will expose its innards to the public via a REST API on July 6, 2010, making it possible to develop customized applications that run on top of the HasOffers platform. No other affiliate network software has an API this powerful. Certainly call DirectTrack, LinkTrust or Hitpath and ask! My team and I have spent over two months building one of the largest APIs provided for a Web 2.0 application. The HasOffers API makes public over 400 methods and 60 data models. Every feature in the HasOffers application is documented and available to use through the HasOffers API.

Deep Integration
You can now build applications or customize your current HasOffers application software with the same access to integration for managing advertisers, offers, and affiliates. Easily create new affiliates and generate tracking code for the new affiliate and view reports using the new HasOffers API. Over sixty integration points are now available, including: Advertisers, Affiliates, Users, Employees, Offers, Creative Files, Third-party Pixels/URLs, Employees, Conversions and Reports.

Complete Customization
The power of complete customization is now in your hands. With deep integration capabilities, you can customize your affiliate network software to meet your specific business objectives. We all know that many HasOffers network interfaces look similar (just like we know a DirectTrack interface when we see it). Use the HasOffers API to build a completely new and unique interface or simply customize your current affiliate network application by changing the HTML in template files. Automate the functionality of payout tiers, write new scripts that provide custom email communication based on events, or link up notifications to your Twitter account.
New Opportunity
With deep integration and complete customization provided by the new HasOffers API comes a new opportunity for you to build a better business or a new business with HasOffers. Some clients are creating a competitive advantage by implementing a whole new graphic interface for their application. Other clients are using the New API to build widgets that connect with CRMs and billing systems. A few clients are now building their affiliate network software into a gateway monetization system.

Just REST
The HasOffers API is REST-based and returns results as JSON. JSON is derived from the JavaScript programming language for representing simple data structures and associative arrays. It is language-independent, with parsers available for virtually every programming language. Facebook and Twitter APIs provide JSON results as well.
Good Documentation Required
My team and I really wanted to provide an API that would help shape the industry. We studied the APIs provided by Facebook, SalesForce and Twitter. It’s almost taken for granted that companies like this publicly provide complete documentation for their APIs.
http://developers.facebook.com
http://www.salesforce.com/
http://apiwiki.twitter.com
These companies did a solid job providing documentation that empowers clients and developers to use their APIs. So we followed their lead, providing complete documentation for the API on the HasOffers Wiki.
Just Sales Talk?
I searched for API documentation on Google associated with DirectTrack, HitPath and LinkTrust, and I was surprised to find that we are the only company with publicly available API documentation. These companies claim to have APIs – wow the DirectTrack SDK! However, I can’t seem to find any meaningful documentation anywhere. See for yourself:

The Real Deal
The HasOffers API is here. It simply provides the most functionality in the industry. We are moving HasOffers into a new territory with richer access to data that will enable clients and developers to create customized tracking applications. As clients and developers create awesome and useful applications, we will develop a section on the HasOffers Wiki for those that wish to share their innovations with the rest of the HasOffers developer community.
The new HasOffers API is scheduled to be released July 6th, 2010.
