Translating the application into a non-English language used to be difficult. It required HasOffers to send clients a Portable Object (PO) file that the client would then update to include their own language changes. Our engineers would then include the PO file in development, where it would then be tested and eventually pushed out with the next scheduled product release. As you might imagine (or might have experienced), this was a very time consuming process, both for HasOffers and our clients.
With today’s update, clients can now upload their own PO files which will only be included in their own white labeled version of HasOffers. Other networks on the HasOffers system will not share these custom language files allowing clients to customize their network with extremely specific messaging. HasOffers clients can even take advantage of custom PO files by changing vocabulary or adding in branded terminology.
To upload a custom PO file, visit the Application Settings page:

Click the link next to “Language,” titled: “Upload Custom PO Files”

Default PO files are listed first on this page. All HasOffers clients have access to these PO files, and they can be downloaded by selecting files from the drop down menu. Once downloaded, PO Files can be edited and re-uploaded to HasOffers by selecting the PO file and the Language it translates. Once a PO file is uploaded, it appears in teh custom PO file table.
Custom PO files over-ride default PO files (ie. uploading a Spanish PO file will over-ride the default Spanish PO file provided by HasOffers). However, a custom PO file can be removed at any time, reverting back to the default PO file.
To create a PO file for an entirely new language, clients simply download a default PO files, translating it themselves into over 100 different languages and re-uploading it to HasOffers, assigning it to the proper Language name.
Custom Languages are only available to Enterprise clients, allowing these valued customers to easily customize their PO files and make language changes immediately.
