A Suppression List is a list of people who have opted out of the mailing list. You must compare future mailing lists against the suppression list to make sure you are not sending unsolicited emails to people who have opted out of an offer. Sending emails to people on the suppression list is considered spam and is illegal. You can manage your suppression list by running your cursor over the “Offers” tab and selecting “Suppression Lists”.
Creating Suppression Lists
Hover over the “Offers” tab and select “Suppression Lists”. Click “Create List”. Here, you can create a new list by entering the suppression List Name and if your list is hosted externally, you may enter an External URL (a download link) and an External Unsubscribe Link. Click Add. Once the List Name has been created, you may add individual emails to the list or upload multiple emails from a file (TXT or CVS format) by selecting “Add Emails”.
Adding Emails to the Suppression Lists
You can add a single email address to a list or you can upload multiple email addresses to your suppression list. To add emails to the suppression list, hover over the “Offers” tab and select “Suppression Lists”. Go to “Add Emails”. If you would like to add one email address at a time, go to the Add Individual Email to List table, select the list and provide the email address; click “Add”. If you would like to upload a list of emails, go to the Upload Email Addresses to List table, select the list from the drop down menu and click “Browse…”. Find and select your list and click “Upload”. Make sure each record is on a new line and each field is separated by a comma. All file formats are compatible as long as the file is CSV or TXT. A valid email address is required and an associated IP address for the email is optional.

Unsubscribe Links
Unsubscribe links can be made available for every offer’s suppression list. To obtain an unsubscribe link, hover over the “Offers” tab and select "Manage Offers". Select the offer name and go to the “Email Instructions” table. Choose the name of the affiliate and the unsubscribe link will be generated for you. Place the link in your email offer to allow viewers to automatically unsubscribe themselves.
To pre-populate the email address, append a forward slash followed by the email address. i.e. http://demo.hasoffers.com/unsubscribe/246/{ACCOUNT_ID}/email@domain.com
