Productivity Meets Publishing with Shareist

As someone who often writes more than 20,000 words each week, I’m constantly on the lookout for ways to optimize my publishing process. I keep notes on things I might write about. I organize lists of links on a subject. And I frequently write drafts of articles that may or may not ever see the light of day. I need a way to keep thing organized.

Shareist, a new publishing platform co-founded by my friend and affiliate marketing veteran Scott Jangro, has me rethinking my approach to blogging – and my approach to creating product pages with affiliate links. I’ve been following the beta of Shareist for awhile, but the power of the app didn’t really hit me until I watched Jangro during Jim Kukral’s presentation at Affiliate Summit East.

As Jangro was taking notes on the presentation using Shareist, he updated a live post in near real time with everything from photos from his iPhone, product links and a well organized set of notes on the presentation. You can see Jangro’s write-up of the session here.

While that page simply looks like a well-organized informational reference now, the thing that hit me was the speed and efficiency Jangro maintained while achieving that same finished look as the presentation was still underway. If you ever have to live blog a conference session – Shareist is definitely a valuable tool to consider – and you can still publish the finished product to your own blog.

That simplicity is also attractive for building affiliate offer pages. Shareist makes it easy to pull together data. It also integrates with many affiliate programs and networks, so affiliates can use Shareist to create compelling pages that include relevant affiliate links.
