HasOffers Affiliate Tracking Software Technology

Affiliate Conversion Tracking

iFrame Tracking Pixels

This technology is the most popular method of tracking offer conversions through affiliate tracking software. iFrame tracking relies on cookies to record which affiliate caused the conversion. Perhaps the more unique advantage to iFrame tracking pixels is that they allow for third party pixels to easily be passed on from affiliates. HasOffers makes adding third party pixels simple by giving affiliates the ability to submit their own pixels for approval.

Image Tracking Pixels

Similar to iFrame tracking pixels, image tracking also relies on cookies placed by tracking links; however, image tracking pixels are not capable of passing third party pixels from affiliates.

HTTP and HTTPS

Choose between regular transfer protocol and secure transfer protocol. For iFrame and image tracking, HasOffers can generate either HTTP and HTTPS tracking pixels depending on your preference.

Server Response Tracking

Often called cookie-less tracking, server response tracking is an alternative to cookie/pixel-based tracking and involves postback URLs, passing a transaction identification number into the creative URL to register a conversion. Server response tracking provides a 100% accurate tracking solution in situations where tracking pixels cannot be placed on the confirmation page.

Cookie-Lifespan

When using iFrame or Image tracking pixels, the cookie-lifespan feature allows you to specify the duration of time to keep the session cookie active. Defining the cookie-lifespan allows you to track conversions originating from tracking links that were clicked months or up to a year after the user first clicked it, helping networks give affiliates the credit they deserve.

Conversion Caps

To protect from unmanageable numbers of conversions or to maintain budget requirements, a conversion cap can be assigned to each offer. Once the offer reaches the designated number of maximum conversions it will redirect to a new specified offer

Affiliate Tracking Links

Auto-Generated Tracking Links

Once you set up an offer, tracking links and tracking pixels are immediately available for publishing and placement. As soon as the conversion tracking pixel has been placed on the correct offer conversion page affiliates can begin sending traffic to their unique tracking links.

SEO Friendly Links

Encourage affiliates to use SEO friendly tracking links. Traditional affiliate links attach the tracking code at the end of the URL, and search engines have trouble discerning that "www.site.com/page.html" and "www.site.com/page.html?source=xyz link=zyx" are actually the same page. HasOffers SEO friendly links create shortened URLs on your custom domain, showing search engines that the pages are the same, preventing duplicate content and messy URL strings.

Tiny URLs

Affiliate tracking links can be quickly shortened into URLs of only 12 characters or less. This makes for easy posting on social media sites like Twitter and Facebook and makes sharing affiliate links through email clean and simple.

HTTPS Tracking Links

With HasOffers Dedicated Solutions, employ additional security in your tracking links and control over your own SSL.

Sub IDs

When generating tracking links, affiliates can track up to 5 unique Sub IDs (numeric values), allowing those offers to be grouped and filtered by each value in conversion reports. Conversion Reports provide a list of conversions for these unique values, helping affiliates analyze and optimize their campaigns.

Source IDs

Affiliates can also include additional, unique alphanumeric information with a tracking link. Source IDs help affiliates track success for each traffic source or landing page. All reports can be sorted by Source ID to track click through rates, impressions, and more.

Pass Custom Variables

By enabling custom variables for an offer, affiliates can insert additional variables into tracking links (user name, email, landing page variation) which passes on to the creative URL or landing page, pre-populating forms with user information, or displaying a targeted version of a landing page that will improve conversion rates dramatically.

Impression Pixels

To track impressions, affiliates have access to an impression pixel for each tracking link (on the same page as the tracking link or any other page before) and by properly placing this pixel affiliates can track when a tracking URL or banner is viewed by a user. This helps affiliates to determine their click-through-rate and evaluate top performing banners and links.

Auto-Generate Creative Code

If creative files are uploaded for a particular offer, affiliates can automatically generate creative code for each uploaded image/flash banner or email creative. After the creative code is placed on a webpage, it will display the creative while tracking user clicks and setting cookies in anticipation of conversions.

Third Party Tracking Pixels

On the same offer page, affiliates can easily add their own third-party tracking pixels for tracking in other platforms. Only available for offers using iFrame conversion pixels, third party pixels can immediately track conversions once approved by network administrators. (HasOffers dynamically replaces certain variables including affiliate sub id, affiliate source, payout, etc.)
